How to buy KBO tickets as a foreign visitor
KBO games are not sold on the English/global sites of Interpark (NOL World) or Ticketlink — those carry concerts and esports only. Korea's domestic ticketing sites require identity verification with a Korean mobile number, which most overseas visitors cannot complete. The one club you can book in advance from abroad is kt wiz (home games in Suwon), through its own wizzap app: it takes an email sign-up and a card issued outside Korea, and seats usually open about a week before each game.
For every other club, plan to buy on game day at the stadium box office. Several clubs run a dedicated window that sells a limited number of seats to visitors who show a passport — the LG Twins at Jamsil, for example, use Ticket Office No. 3, first come first served, with a limit of 2 tickets per person. Quotas, opening times and rules differ by club and stadium, so check the home team's official ticket page before you travel.
Be aware that walk-up inventory is small and consists mostly of leftover or cancelled seats: if a game sells out online, there may be no box-office tickets at all. Hanwha, LG, KIA, Doosan and Lotte sell out often, especially at weekends. If you need a guaranteed seat, tour operators such as Klook or KKday sell game packages for some teams, well above face value.
If a game is sold out, don't give up: cancelled seats are released back into the pool at fairly predictable times (often late at night when unpaid reservations are auto-cancelled, and again the day before the game). We track these restock windows too.
